Welcome! Laughing This is a student resource site for student physical therapist assistants. This site contains information we have gone over through out the first year of the program. The purpose of this site is to serve as a reference for students reviewing, so the information is in one convenient location. All the information came from lecture notes or books we have used in the program.

 On the left are tabs that will lead you to the information you seek. Here is a brief description of what you can find under each.                              

Muscles - muscles, origin, insertion, action, and innervation for upper extremities, lower extremities, neck, and trunk

Gait -information on gait devices, patterns, training, and normal gait values

Goni/MMT -how to take goni measurements, how to perform MMT, and norms

Posture -normal posture, common poor postures, and pain syndromes related to posture

Protocols -surgical protocols for total shoulder, hip, and knee arthroplasty

Exercise -resistance exercise, active stretching, HEP, coordination, balance, proprioception, and flexion and extension spinal exercises

PNF - PNF diagonal patterns

Intro - information covered in Intro to PT assisting including body mechanics, positioning, transfers, and vital signs.
